Xodus Carnival: 2020 Enchanted Vision

It's band launch season and Xodus “CAME OUT STRONG” last weekend for their 2020 costume reveals. The theme this year is called Enchanted and every costume is reminiscent of popular enchanted characters we all grew up reading about. The slogan is Live Your Fantasy and that is exactly how masquerades can expect to feel at Jamaica Carnival 2020.

The event was held at the Police Officers Club on Hope Road. I’ve been to all of Xodus’ band launches and this by far was my favourite. I loved the decor, the photo backdrop and the aerial dancer in the middle of the party. The stage was wide and the screens were large, which gave everyone an opportunity to see the costumes regardless of where they stood in the venue. The free six pack on entry was also a nice "human" touch.

My Top Picks

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to decide on one but I was able to narrow my picks down to three. My favourite of all the costumes is the Khalessi costume. I love the green and the gold together and I think it would look amazing against my skin tone. I especially love the mouth piece and the backpack. My next pick would be Storm. I love white and I have always wanted a white costume. This Storm costume is absolutely gorgeous. My third and final pick would be the Black Widow. Purple is one of my favourite colours. The costume is sexy but simple.

So those are my picks. Let me know what you think. Have you seen a fave? Will you be participating in Jamaica Carnival 2020?
