Celebrate Yourself

We all love to be told, " You're doing a good job" or "I'm proud of you."

Don't lie. We all love praises. Some a little bit more than others but the bottom line is we like praises. We like praises because it makes us feel like we are finally doing something right, we like it because we are being noticed by others and it encourages us to keep pursuing our goals.

So what's wrong with that? Nothing at all.

The problem, however, lies when we become too dependent on others acknowledgment of our greatness. Following? You have to learn to celebrate yourself. Be proud of what you do, what you have achieved, who you are, whether or not others find it celebration worthy or not. Celebrate the little accomplishments and the big accomplishments too. Every single step you take, every accomplishment takes you further and further to your goals. Just stay focused, get those goals and celebrate yourself.

We spend a lot of time beating up ourselves about the time we think we waste, the things we haven't accomplished yet and the things we failed at and yet when it comes to time to celebrate we don't. We don't want to toot our own horns or we don't want to seem boastful.  If we keep celebrating the positive parts, the parts we get right in life, we can increase our overall happiness.

The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.
