My name is Mike, I’m passionate about life, the arts as well as travel.

I’m a Tour Guide and a budding entrepreneur aiming to turn my passion and dreams into a fulfilling career.

I’ve lived in Kingston, Jamaica all my life and I love my city and it is my hope to live long enough to see it develop into the paradise it was destined to be.

How did you get into your skill?

I’ve always been a people person that likes to entertain and make people laugh. Fuse that with years of sales and customer service training I’ve been inspired to use my skills to start and manage my own business which has afforded me greater personal development and a closer step to my ultimate goals.

How do you promote yourself?

A major part of myself promotion is done through Social media. I utilize the major platforms like Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

It provides an avenue for true self expression and because it’s so instant it’s easier to target your ideal market.

I also engage a lot one on one with almost anybody I meet as word of mouth and referrals are key promotional channels to capitalize on in the service industry.

Do you have any upcoming projects?

I am currently working on new ways to evolve and refine my business model.

I continue to custom design authentic Jamaican experiences in aid of creating a social enterprise that will encourage minority groups to join a community that uses its network to generate wealth creation opportunities, economic growth and awareness.

What is your philosophy in life?

I live by the words of Mahatma Ghandi- “Be the change you want to see in the world”.

In your opinion what do you think are the keys to success?

The keys to success are confidence, a strong sense of self and willingness to learn from your mistakes.

What made you start your business?

After gaining valuable experience in the customer service industry and meeting many people from various backgrounds I researched ways I could utilize those skills to create revenue generating passion project.

Tourism was the perfect decision based on my skills, interests and geographical location as well hearing countless stories about visitors to the country who are disenfranchised and abused and realized that there was a way to fill the gaps and for a few years I worked on how to commercialize my passion and found ways to prove how it can positively impact each client.

What blogs and websites do you follow and why?

Since travel and all other subcomponents of travel is a major part of my business model, I follow mostly travel blogs and websites. They give inspiration and an eye on the current trends in the market. They allow me to pay key attention to competitors and world leaders in the same industry giving me an advantage, to position myself optimally and learn new lessons along the way.
