Preparing For Your First Pop-Up Shop

I recently did my first pop up shop for my business www.suetysboutique.com ( Instagram- @suetysboutique), an online clothing store and it went well. Since then I've been getting a lot of questions about prepping for a pop shop so I decided to write a blog about it.
What is a pop-up shop?
The concept is simple. It gives online businesses and brands an opportunity to sell in person. It is very beneficial as its more affordable than opening a physical location, it brings awareness to brands and businesses and it gives an opportunity for businesses and brands to make new sales.
Let's talk preparation. Here are some tips for preping for your first pop up shop.
DEFINE YOUR GOALS FOR THE POP-UP SHOP
What are some of the things you are hoping to achieve for your brand and business? Not sure. You can use these questions below to help you define your goal.
What is your sales goal?
What are you hoping to achieve by participating in the pop-up shop?
Which items will you be selling and do you need to order more?
Will you have business cards displayed?
What are the different modes of payment that you will have?
What is your budget?
DESIGN AND LAYOUT
The decor is very important. There will be other tables at the pop-up shop, other brands and business, how will you table stand out? How will you design your space? I love to think of unique ideas that will make my booth stand out from the crowd and show more brand personality. Remember to include your brand colours too.
PROMOTE THE EVENT
Tell your friends, family and existing customers about the event in advance and keep promoting until the day of the event. You can promote via Email marketing, Social media channels, Word of mouth, Facebook groups and Text messages
