Suety Travel Diaries: Reggae Falls with Lovesnotlikesja
St Thomas' Famous Attraction
Reggae Falls, a.k.a. Dam Head is located in St Thomas and is one of the top attractions in the parish. The drive is only about 3hrs from Kingston and makes for the perfect chill spot for persons who love adventure. The road to get to the falls may not be the smoothest but it is definitely worth the drive. I definitely would not recommend this journey for low vehicles.
Reggae Falls - Hidden Treasure
Reggae Falls is a popular attraction and is usually crowded on weekends. Weekdays are less crowded. The falls is beautiful and majestic and an experience I would recommend to persons of all ages. There's not much to do there but to swim. The swim area is mostly shallow. The falls is very heavy, the area under it is about 6ft deep. Make sure you bring water shoes, cause the rocks are slippery and sharp. There are no changing rooms at the location so plan accordingly. It's best to take your food and refreshments. Also take cash to pay for parking, entrance fee and anything else you may need.
I strongly suggest getting directions to the falls. Google maps is not so reliable when it comes to directions to getting to Reggae Falls. Also, you stand the risk of being out of range of cell service.
