20 Questions with Sue-Tanya

1. What motivated you to start a blog?

I always wanted a personal website. When I was done with  this site I started to look at ways to make the website better. I figured a blog would be exciting. I always wanted one anyway but didn't believe I had enough content to keep it going  so I challenged myself and here we are.

2. Who is your fashion inspiration ?

My fashion is inspired by a lot of people. One person I really like and she has a blog too is Natasha Lee. I like her style. She looks good every single time.

3. What stores have good deals for nice women's clothes and accessories?

4. What's your favourite restaurants?

Some of my favourite restaurants would be Ribbiz, TGIF, East Japanese, Regency, Cheesecake Factory and Bahama Breeze.

5. What's motivates you to be an entrepreneur and how do you go about becoming one?

I have always wanted to be a business person. My dad had a few businesses  and he sort of introduced me to the idea. My love for business grew more when he had me involved in the business. I never liked the idea of working for anyone but  I had to start somewhere right?  

Being an entrepreneur is not easy either. My very first business was called Swagberry. I used to “swag” blackberry phones, providing housings, batteries, cases, trackballs etc but of course the blackberry phase ended and so did the business.  For anyone out there considering becoming their own boss, I strongly recommend that you do your research. Don't just think about the now but think about 5 years down the line. Determine the target market. Who will you sell your products or service to and will they be able to afford your price? Determine your method of marketing. How will you market your product or service? Good luck and be confident :)

6. What do you believe is an important factor to consider for having a fulfilling life?

Understand that you are you. I think this is the biggest problem people have. There have been times that I wished I was HER or had what she had and all that did was made me sad or keep me in this box. The true me got lost  in what I thought I should be. The minute I started accepting me for me and understood that I have my own life, my own path and I am in control of that, my entire life changed.

Sometimes you have to seclude yourself and get to know yourself. Set goals for yourself and work hard to achieve them.

7. Are you religious?

Yes I am.

8. How do you balance your social life with work?

It’s a hard one to balance but I believe balance is very important. You can’t be working too hard and you can’t be having fun all the time. I try to put in as much work as i can in the week and leave my weekends free for some fun.

9. How do you budget your money ?

Every month I write on paper all my expenses that i have for that month and when I get paid I allocate the funds accordingly.A word to the wise try to save a portion of your income. You never know what can happen and that cash might just come in handy. Don’t just depend on one income try to create multiple sources of income.

10. Where does motivation come from after failure?

My desire to win keeps pushing me. It keeps me motivated. I have failed so many times in life that it hardly affects me anymore. Once I have life I still have a chance to get up and get it.

11. Are you scared of the future?

I have failed so many times I don’t even know if I am afraid of it anymore. Life has taught me it is ok to fail. So fail often but learn from it.

12.If it’s a beautiful day, where are you going to spend it?

Beach.

13. Who is your favourite female artiste?

Jhene Aiko and Kehlani.

14.What is one movie you never tire of watching?

Twilight. ( the first one)

15. What do you find most attractive in men?

Sensibility and Character.

16. When is the last time you cried?

2 weeks ago. I was just a little overwhelmed with all the things happening in my life but I got over it.

17. How about wardrobe? Your personal “go to” uniform consists most regularly of what?

Jeans and a T shirt and flats.

18. Dogs or Cats?

Both.

19. Who’d play you in the film of your life?

Taraji P Henson.

20. Do you believe in ghosts/duppy?

Seeing is believing. I have never seen one and I don’t think I want to either.
