What to do when your view doesn't match the vision?
Everyone has that moment in life that causes them to stop and think about their future. Know what I'm talking about? It's that time where something devastating happened, maybe you lost a job or a family member and you start to question your own life and the future. Do you start to ask questions like what am I doing? Why am I not where I want to be? You're not happy but you know you want to be. You start to think about what would make you happy and then you decide in your mind what that happiness looks like but when you come look at your current situation getting to that state of happiness seems impossible. Can you relate?
If you can this post is for you. What to do when your view doesn't match the vision?
The first thing you can do is be thankful that you know your life is not what you want it to be. A lot of people go through life not knowing what they want out of life and by the time they do they are way older and even though changing their life is possible, it's way harder.
What do you do when you want to get somewhere but don't know how to get there? You get a map right? So what you need to live the life you want is a plan. How do you come up with this plan? You set goals. Goal setting is easier when you create a vision board. My vision board reminds me of my goals daily. Each goal achieved takes me closer to my ultimate vision. Check out this post on how to create a vision board that works. Once you have your goals on your vision board, you need to put the work in. Be focused and determined. This is your life and you're in control. It won't be an easy road but stick through it, grow through it, it will be worth it.
If you are saying to yourself, "Yea Sue, I know all that but I need something more. I need someone to push me." then I want to invite you to consider making me your personal coach. I have a few coaching plans that might be of interest to you. Check out the coaching plans available or contact me personally. Don't forget to like this post and comment below.
I remember when I just got my job at Eservice (a call centre). I wasn’t working for a while before that so I was hungry and determined to make up for lost time. I wrote down the things that I wanted to achieve and the timeframe I needed it done by. I was about 20 years old at the time but I wasn’t anywhere near where I wanted to be. I knew something had to change. I remember reading Alvin Day’s book around that time, If Caterpillars Can Fly-So Can I and it talked about the universal laws to achieve and prosper. I remember thinking I needed to CHANGE MY MINDSET and CHANGE MY LIFE and this new job was going to get me there.
